To ensure transparency and fairness, we have established the following refund policy. This policy is designed to address the unique challenges of doing business in Nigeria while protecting both buyers and sellers.
1. General Refund Guidelines
- Eligibility for Refunds:
- Refunds are only applicable for transactions conducted through Farm2Trade’s escrow system.
- Buyers are eligible for refunds if they do not receive the item(s) they purchased, or if the item(s) delivered are significantly different from the seller’s description.
- Refund Process:
- All refund requests must be submitted through the Farm2Trade platform within 72 hours of delivery or the agreed delivery date.
- Buyers must provide proof (e.g., photos, videos, or written communication) to substantiate their claims.
- Non-Refundable Circumstances:
- Refunds will not be granted for delays caused by external factors beyond the seller’s control, such as weather, road conditions, or national holidays.
- Products damaged due to buyer mishandling after delivery are not eligible for refunds.
2. Refund for Non-Delivery
- Escrow Protection:
- If a buyer does not receive their order within the agreed delivery time, the payment held in escrow will be refunded after verification.
- Buyers must file a “non-delivery” claim within 72 hours after the agreed delivery period.
- Verification Process:
- Farm2Trade will contact the seller to confirm the delivery status.
- If the seller cannot provide evidence of delivery (e.g., delivery receipt, tracking number), the escrowed payment will be refunded to the buyer.
3. Refund for Product Quality Issues
- Significantly Not as Described (SNAD):
- If the item delivered does not match the description provided by the seller (e.g., incorrect quantity, lower quality, or wrong product), buyers can request a refund.
- Buyers must upload evidence (e.g., photos or videos) of the discrepancy.
- Dispute Resolution:
- Farm2Trade will mediate between the buyer and seller to reach a resolution.
- If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, Farm2Trade’s decision will be final, and the escrowed payment will be refunded to the rightful party.
4. Refund Timelines
- Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after resolution.
- Refunds will be made to the buyer’s original payment method or Farm2Trade wallet.
5. Seller Obligations
- Sellers are required to accurately describe their products and provide proof of delivery upon request.
- Sellers who frequently deliver products “Significantly Not as Described” or fail to meet delivery commitments may face penalties, including account suspension or permanent removal from Farm2Trade.
6. Buyer Responsibilities
- Buyers must inspect products immediately upon delivery and report issues within 72 hours.
- Buyers must provide accurate delivery addresses and contact information to avoid delays or non-delivery.
7. Dispute Resolution
- All disputes must be resolved through the Farm2Trade dispute resolution center.
- Buyers and sellers are encouraged to provide full cooperation during the dispute resolution process to ensure a fair outcome.
8. Force Majeure
Farm2Trade is not liable for refunds or losses arising from unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, political instability, or other force majeure events. We encourage all users to exercise due diligence and maintain open communication during such events.
9. Changes to the Refund Policy
Farm2Trade reserves the right to modify this refund policy at any time to reflect changes in our services, the marketplace, or Nigerian business regulations. Users will be notified of significant changes through email or platform announcements.
